The T2 filing deadline

Every corporation resident in Canada, including inactive ones, must file a T2 return within six months of its tax year-end. Ontario corporate tax is included on the same return, with no separate provincial return.

Year-end T2 due
December 31 June 30
March 31 September 30
June 30 December 31

If the year ends on the last day of a month, the return is due on the last day of the sixth month after.

Payment is due earlier

The balance owing is usually due two months after year-end. Canadian-controlled private corporations that claimed the small business deduction (and meet the income conditions) have three months. Interest runs from the payment due date, even if the return isn't due yet.
